She was confined initially in a private hospital in Dagupan City on September 8, 2020 and was tested for RT PCR and her RT PCR positive or reactive result came out on September 9, 2020. She was transferred to a government COVID-19 treatment hospital in the same city and is now presently undergoing monitoring and management of her condition. Our 19th COVID-19 case is a 21 year old male from Barangay Macabito. He is an OFW who was about to leave but the required RT PCR Test before leaving the country showed that he is positive/reactive to the COVID-19 RT PCR Test. His history of travel or exposure is in NCR. He is asymptomatic and is presently being monitored in an isolation facility in NCR.
There is now an on-going active contact tracing for the close contacts of COVID -19 cases 18 and 19. Initial results showed 9 close contacts for Case 18 and 8 close contacts for Case 19. The Local Contact Tracing teams composed of PNP, DOH HRH and MHO personnel together with the barangay officials of Barangays Buenlag and Macabito are exerting their efforts to identify all possible close contacts.
The local IATF headed by Mayor Joseph Arman C. Bauzon has given the instructions for the monitoring and surveillance of all concerned areas. The Local IATF has recommended to Mayor Bauzon for lockdown zones to be imposed, with a residential compound located in Barangay Buenlag and two (2) households in Barangay Macabito to be declared as critical zones.
We are again making an appeal to our community to continue to practice the prescribed health safety protocols of hand washing, wearing of face masks and face shields outside your homes, the use of hand sanitizers/alcohol and to always observe social/physical distancing. Again, we also appeal for our constituents not to discriminate, harass or think ill of our COVID-19 patients and their families and instead pray for their immediate healing and fast recovery. Maraming salamat po and God bless us all.
